Note: Elizabeth Allen Melton was the daughter of Robert Allen & Elizabeth West Allen, who migrated from North Carolina to South Carolina; to Richmond County, Ga., where they died. Robert Allen died in 1801; Elizabeth West Allen died in 1805. Many of their children and grandchildren migrated to Alabama and Mississippi. See Edward Charles Pegues Bible record, Cemetery and Bible Record, Volume V, p. 63, published by Mississippi Genealogical Society, 1958.
