Ms. Blankenstein uses Alfred's Basic Piano Course with all of her students, since she herself was raised on the method, and finds that it builds the utmost comraderie between teacher and student. Meredith emphasizes correct playing habits and teaches note reading through interval recognition. Children are both engouraged and rewarded for good practice habits by choosing their own repetoire throughout the course of their lessons.
