Well where to start?  I have lived in Mo., Ct., South Korea, Tx., Japan, and I currently live in the pan handle of Florida.  I spent 7.5 years in the Army as a Military Police Officer.  While I was stationed in South Korea, I met, fell in love with, and in 1987 married my bride Hyo Suk.  In 1988 we had our first child, Christine.  She is a great young lady with a heart of gold.  In 1991, whilc I was stationed at FT. Hood Texas, my bride gave birth to our second child, Joseph.  A young man who seems to have his head on straight, unlike so many other young men of his age.  Currently I am working in the Juvenile Corrections Field as the Training Director, where I train staff how to do their jobs.

I started wood working in high school but never really followed through with it (before they started cutting the art type programs from so many of our schools).  I picked it up as my main hobby in 1993 (there about).  I love working with wood and I am planning to replace all the furniture in my home with projects that I build.  I love working with wood and watching the project I am working on move from flat peieces of wood to creations of my making.  I very much enjoy every aspect of woodworking I have tried.  Being self taught for the most part, there have been points where I have struggled.  Finding information during those time were difficult at best, thus the reason for my site.  I have currently moved intoworking with the scroll saw and making patterns to be cut.

Like I mentioned, there were times I had a hard time finding the information I needed to move on with my craft, so my web site was born.  With the vision of creating a site that would help out all woodworkers, I have tried to make a site that is a great place for you and others to come and learn.  Of course for this to be accomplished, I could really use your help.  So if you have an idea, or something that you believe would help out fellow woodworkers, please send me you projects, woodworking tips, how to advise, safety tips, articles, plans you would like to share, and your web site links.  After all, that is the whole purpose of this site to share information.

If you would like to contact me about any project, advise or how you can started in this great hobby, send me an e-mail to Messmanswoodworking@cox.net I will respond to each and every e-mail. please place WOODWORKING in the subject line.  This will ensure that I read your e-mail and respond to you quickly.
