It is another election year and we are all about to be inundated with politicians and their grand schemes. We will hear various points of view of what our government should be doing with our tax dollars and our choices. Some will sound better than others and the incumbents will tell you how much they have done to make our lives better.
But just as in past elections, regardless of the state of affairs we find ourselves in, the incumbents will get the majority of votes and will be re-elected. That is the way it is, there are many reasons for this, none of which the ruling parties have any reason to change.
That is why we need to do more to change this ourselves; otherwise we become nothing more than sheep to be sheered. In our lives, if we come across a business that over charges and offers poor service, we complain. When we return and they continue raising prices and give us attitude, we will not return, otherwise they will come to understand that they are doing the right thing and that we are rewarding them with our business. It is the same concept when it comes to voting.
It is through the simple act of changing our vote that will create an opportunity to better our own lives, a life abundant in personal choices, rewards, and real accountability.
