Dear Fellow Classmates from 1958 and Grads from ’54, ’55, ’56, ’57 & ’59:
My apologies for the lateness of this letter and getting information to you regarding our scholarship drive. Several changes are in motion, and I was waiting for those to be completed before starting the scholarship drive. Some of you have already donated money for the 2005-2006 school year, and we are most appreciative. The Scholarship Fund will be housed under the Education Branch of the newly formed “Sally Foundation.” The Foundation is in honor of Aracely “Sally” Flores Horcasitas, a graduate of the Class of 1958. It will serve several purposes, and you will be able to read those in the Foundation letter. My aim is to go public on January 4, 2006, which would have been Sally’s 67th birthday. Our formula remains the same for donations to the Education Scholarship Fund. If you are a grad of 1958, we ask that you send $1 for each year of your graduation year (Example: 1958 would be $58). The same request would apply to all other classes. If that creates a hardship, our formula is simplified. Send us whatever your budget allows. Remember, your donation is tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt from us. Keep in mind that no amount is too little. Help us to fulfill someone’s dreams. Sincerley Yours, |
