Why Is It Important To Be Aware Of And Raise Your Emotional Intelligence? The Four Problem-Creating Areas. The Key To A Better Quality Of Life. Why Is It Important To Be Aware Of And Raise Your Emotional Intelligence? Emotions
are the universal communication tool, which transcends language.
In your everyday life, you encounter two kinds of problems: interpersonal
and intrapersonal. Interpersonal Problems involve confrontations with others including family, friends and co-workers. Intrapersonal Problems involve problems, which mainly affect you, such as health, self-sabotage, or financial difficulties. These problems create an emotional attachment or at least an emotional response. Often, these emotional responses are subjective, unclear, and draining on you (i.e., you feel guilty that you did not do this or say that; you feel that certain people are against you or you can’t trust the opposite sex, or you avoid certain situations completely and don’t understand why). The Four Problem-Creating Areas. In my experience, I have discovered that most people’s problems or issues arise in four basic areas: 1. General Misunderstanding(s). Example: We often hear what we want to hear and not what was really said or intended. 2. An Unawareness About Ourselves And How Other Humans Function. Example: People, who are arrogant, put you down and believe they are “better than” feel so intensely inferior that they have to continuously prove to themselves that they are superior to others. 3. Taking Responsibility Without Boundaries. Example: Not being able to determine where one’s personal responsibilities and boundaries begin and end, prevents a person from taking appropriate action or accountable responsibility. Many people avoid responsibility and will often attempt to coerce others through using guilt into assuming their responsibility. 4. Inability to Resolve Conflicts. Example: When people argue, a common result is that one party becomes defensive or tunes out (i.e., hangs up the phone, walks away, etc.). The Key To A Better Quality Of Life. The key to a better quality of life is to boost your emotional intelligence. This helps you addressing your problems with ease. Example: You release a tremendous amount of stress and gain energy when you become aware of how humans function and where You begin and others end. Relieved, you can use this regained energy for more useful purposes. I will help you confront your current issues, guide you in a way which allows you to see your reality more objectively, and assist you in handling situations through the inner knowledge of your emotions. |
