The Restoration Facility for the USS MIDWAY museum
(Currently known as The San Diego Aircraft
Carrier Museum, on the USS Midway CV-41)

NEWS AND INFORMATION
Seven aircraft and one helicopter have been restored and are now on board the USS Midway Museum, which is now open to the public. Our restoration volunteers continue to make progress on other aircraft still at the restoration hangar, such as the SH-2 Seasprite and the C-1 Trader. We are looking for ordnance and stores for our aircraft, so if you have any contacts who can help us acquire dummy or inert ordnance, please let us know. Likewise, we are still searching for two sets of landing gear for the two Cougars, and for a replacement canopy for the training Cougar.
Our thanks go out to the many hard working volunteers who continue to labor to help restore these naval treasures for the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum.
We are still in need of a few more experienced volunteer metal workers to help with our aircraft restorations. See the Volunteer page for more details.
