Grumman E-2C (nose display)

This is the nose section of an E-2 Hawkeye, which may be turned into a walk-in cockpit exhibit.

 

This was before the missing nose cone was prepared and mounted to the front.

 

The exterior is now restored (except for its paint job).

 

At first, all of the instruments, controls, and seats were missing, making this cockpit restoration a daunting prospect.
However, by using parts from many different available E-2 derelicts, much progress has been made since this photo was taken.

 

Now the cockpit interior is well along in its restoration.

This aircraft section is on loan from the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
