Midway's Hangar
The Restoration Facility for the USS MIDWAY museum
(Currently known as The San Diego Aircraft
Carrier Museum, on the USS Midway CV-41)
VOLUNTEER |
VOLUNTEER TO HELP THE MIDWAY MUSEUM'S RESTORATION EFFORTS
Like many other non-profit organizations, we rely on our sponsors, benefactors, and volunteers to achieve our short and long-range goals. At this time we are searching for volunteers to help us at the restoration hangar. We are looking for people who are willing to contribute time and effort to this worthy project, especially if they have experience and/or talent in aircraft restoration or metal-working.
The hangar is currently open four days a week (Tuesday, Friday-Sunday), leaving plenty of chances for volunteers to find time in their schedules to come in and help us prepare our aircraft for display on board the carrier. (NOTE: Unfortunately, at present the Navy requires that all volunteers must have a valid military ID and vehicle pass to get on base, but we are hoping to solve this in the future.)
If you would like to volunteer to work at our restoration hangar (or on the USS Midway), please call the volunteer hotline voice mail at: (619) 234-3497.
If you would like to help the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum in any other way, please call the museum office at (619) 702-7700, or email the museum at sdacm@aol.com.
Thank you for your support!
