Pleasant course with some creative obstacles and a few holes that require uphill drives which will test the novice player but also provide a feeling of accomplishment when par is reached or beaten. Minigolf veterans will appreciate the course as offering enough of a challenge to make it well worth the play.

Well maintained, clean and inviting, with water and rock placements that add to both the difficulty and eye-appeal of the course. The Olde Sawmill course offers a large snack bar and rest area with plenty of parking and a reasonable price.

There are some real tough holes, and I always have a fun time at the Old Sawmill.

Yesterday was the first time I've ever played miniature golf. It is 8:40AM and I am already looking to see what time the course opens. Perhaps it was beginners luck but I won with a score of +2.

We did not even get to play. The staff was so RUDE. My son was given a gift certificate and sadly we will NEVER EVER use it. I am returning it to the school. I guess if you kinder staff we would reconsider. The sign clearly said 5-10 for the hours on Friday yet we were told 4 the girl told us to read the sign. That was final straw. We went to the Sports Center a few towns over and had a fabulous day. Too bad my son is really interested in mini golf and Oxford was clearly closer.

Our Review Criteria

  • All numerical criteria are on a basis of 1-5. For most items, 1 is worst, and 5 is best.
  • Overall: The reviewer's overall opinion of the course. 1 or 2 is not good. 3 is average, but nothing special. 4 is worth a visit, and 5 is an exceptional course.
  • Maintenance: How well the course is kept.
  • Creativity: Is this a cookie-cutter type of course, or does it have some flair?
  • Price: How does the price of the course compare to the quality?
  • Fun: Simply put, how fun is the course?
  • Difficulty: 1-5, 1 easiest, 5 hardest
  • A number of older reviews have a "Playability" rating. This indicates how able is one to play the course. Things like bent cup rims, twigs, clogged pipes, and too-difficult holes were included here. (These considerations are now part of Maintenance; Creativity was added in place of Playability in 2005.)
