Miracle Paws Himalayan and Persian Kittens

Miracle Paws Himalayan kittens are raised with their mom and kept separate until after their first vaccine. This is usually around 7 weeks of age and then they are allowed to run and play freely in a bedroom with mom until about 10-12 weeks. Kittens are then allowed free run of the house after a couple of days of supervised exploration.

Miracle Paws kittens usually start to eat mom’s wet food around five weeks of age. I mix canned Innova, Friskies, and raw ground meat with a little yogurt, vitamins and supplements (Slippery Elm, coat supplements, lysine, etc). For dry kibble, I free feed a mixture of Evo, Natural Balance (venison & green pea) with a little Royal Canin.

Although most people like to adopt very young kittens, in Virginia, by law, they have to be 9 weeks. This is also the age the mother cat starts to teach her kittens social skills (i.e.rough play, biting, scratching). For this reason and also that many kittens still like to nurse on mom once in a while until they are over 3 months of age, Miracle Paws kittens are not sold before 12 weeks of age at the earliest. All kittens are given a 2-way intranasal and a 3-way sub-cu vaccine before leaving

Himalayan kittens are very sweet, playful and laid back and will follow you around like a puppy. They are cats that you won’t find on top of counters, doors, refrigerators, etc. or climbing curtains but they do love to play and chase each other and their toys. Mine love to sleep in bed with me or lay on the sofa when I’m there.

Before purchasing a Himalayan or Persian kitten, I will need to ensure that you completely understand the upkeep of a long haired kitten. They must be kept combed with a metal comb that will penetrate the depth of the coat to ensure the undercoat does not knot and the claws kept trimmed, NOT declawed.
