The Circle of the Misty Vale

High Priestess of Wiccan Coven Lady Diana

began her journey along the Wiccan path some twenty years ago. In search of spiritual enlightenment, when faced with life's adversities, she became disillusioned by the more conventional religions. She felt unable to relate emotionally or intellectually to the concepts of deity these religions offered. By chance, Lady Diana picked up a copy of Starhawk's book, The Spiral Dance (a dancer by profession, Lady Diana was attracted to the title, and at first glance thought the book pertained to dancing). Flipping through the pages, she found herself drawn into a new dance that made her spirit soar. The Wiccan concept of Goddess and God felt comfortable, and the philosophies of The Craft rang true to her basic beliefs.

On a full moon night, Lady Diana dedicated herself to the Goddess and God and became a solitary practitioner. However, she longed to experience worship and ritual with others of like mind. She eventually attended a series of classes, and was introduced to a coven. Lady Diana joined Circle Atheneum, where she was rededicated, and over a period of 10 years, worked through the three degrees recognized in their tradition. When a circle began to form around her, Lady Diana spun to create her own coven, Circle of the Misty Vale, and has continued working as High Priestess for the past 6 years. Misty Vale is a member in good standing with CoG (Covenant of the Goddess), through the local chapter of Calafia, and Lady Diana acquired her ministerial credentials through CoG, also.

Teaching is a natural extension to working as High Priestess, and Lady Diana takes great joy in sharing her knowledge with those who wish to learn the Wiccan way. She teaches an on-going series of fourteen classes on Wicca as a religion and philosophy, and as a potential path to self-empowerment through spiritual awareness. Her book is now also available for those who are unable to attend classes.
