HISTORY
Calligraphy West club was
chartered in the fall of 1989, and began holding classes
early in 1990. The club has grown from about 20 members to
well over 100 members today.
MISSION
Our Mission, as stated in the
Bylaws of the Club, is “to bring greater recognition
of the art of calligraphy to the public, to provide a forum
for discussion and exchange of ideas and to teach the art
of calligraphy”.
To fulfill this mission, we hold classes, monthly club
meetings, conduct workshops, sell our calligraphy items in
the Village Store, and participate in the annual Arts and
Crafts Fair held by the chartered clubs of the Recreation
Centers of Sun City West, inc.
