Looking east at the 101-280 interchange in 1964. At the time, the eastern part of 280 and the ramps to the south were not open yet. US 101 originally followed the route of westbound I-280 here, and the Bayshore Freeway south of here was Bypass US 101.

101-680
US 101 at I-280/680 in San Jose. This interchange stood uncompleted for a few years in the late 1970s with just the middle of the flyovers constructed and was known as "California Stonehenge".
