In October 2001 I took a trip to southeast Asia. The two week trip began in Bangkok, Thailand, then stopped in Singapore, Bali, and Hong Kong. Some road related notes:
- Traffic drives on the left in these countries
- Lot of motorcycles, especially in Bangkok
- US style yellow diamond warning signs are used, except in Singapore and Hong Kong, which use a European white triangle style
- Singapore uses LED traffic lights, the others used incandescent bulbs
- The most common vehicle seen in Singapore and Hong Kong was the Toyota Crown taxi, a model not sold in the US
