Our friends have donated some lovely prizes for this year's raffle. Take a look at what's up for grabs, below!


  • Enjoy an evening with San Diego’s Premier Classical Ballet company, The California Ballet. The Ballet has generously donated two tickets to a 2008/09 season performance of the perennial holiday favorite, The Nutcracker, at the beautiful Civic Theatre in Downtown San Diego this winter.

  • Win a pair of 2008/09 Season Tickets to UCSD School of Theatre and Dance productions.   • Want to buy that new video? Sports gear? Toys? Clothes? A little something for the garden? You can get it at Target with a $25 gift card donated by the cat lovers at the Grossmont Center Target store.
  • Are you a dancer? Want to learn? The Malashok Dance School has donated a gift certificate redeemable for eight weeks of dance lessons. The school offers instruction at all levels, from beginner to professional, child to adult, in a variety of styles - Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Company Dance. Malashok "puts emotion in motion."
  • Know a knitter?  Lakeside Knits and Cross Stitch has donated a gift card worth $25 that can be used on any item in the shop or towards any of the shop's classes. Owner Clarese stocks a wide variety of domestic and imported yarns, knitting needles, cross stitch and kitting patterns, and associated supplies. You'll also find a number of classes - from knitting socks to lovely crochet work -  monthly.
  • Need a boost? Teresa See, owner of Starcrafts in La Mesa, has donated a certificate good for two Reiki sessions. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Teresa is a Reiki Master who has been in practice for ten years.
  • Padres Fan? Enjoy the San Diego Padres vs the Colorado Rockies game at PETCO Park, Saturday afternoon, August 30th, with a friend. FOC Supporter Devaney Kerr has donated a pair of reserved-seat tickets to our raffle!  Go Padres! Go Kitties!
  • Our friends at TanLine Salon in Hillcrest have generously donated a gift certificate for 10 visits (yes, ten!) to get you that summer glow! TanLine tanning salon is one of the largest  tanning salons in San Diego. This tanning salon features 13 different UV tanning beds as well as MYSTIC TAN, spray tanning.
  • Take home an extra-special surprise gift  from PetCo of El Cajon, (yes, the one "Where the Pets Go"!) courtesy of our friends at the PetCo Foundation.  They have kindly arranged a donation of one of their most popular, 6ft cat trees - a feline's dream!  Buy several tickets - where else can you have a chance at a prize like this for a price like that?  Your cat wants this prize.
