Restaurarea Palatului Brancovenesc de la
Potlogi

Palatul Domnesc – exterior Exterior of
the Princely Palace

The Brancoveanu-style court at Potlogi is located in the center of the locality of Potlogi, a village which was documentary certified from the 16th century and mentioned in Radu Greceanu’s chronicle in 1689, when the ruling prince Constantin Brancoveanu (1688 – 1714) bought here a house from the court marshal Dima and his wife Dragna.
After the death of the ruling prince, due to the lack of maintenance works and also to the Russian-Turkish war, the court became neglected. We learn about that from a testimony of the historian F.S. Sulzer, who in 1778
noted the deplorable condition of the monuments.
