Flat inverted spins are entered in the same manner as a flat upright spin. First you enter an inverted spin or an inverted span roll, then you slide the aileron stick over toward the opposite side, causing the spin to flatten. 1. Enter the flat inverted spin by climbing to altitude and doing a left inverted snap roll. The 1st drawing shows this stick position. |

Recovery |

|
Recover by releasing the sticks. Some times on some planes, the recovery from a flat spin is slower than the recovery from a normal spin. Be aware of this until you learn your plane's characteristics. At times I have had planes spin all the way into the ground despite what ever I did. Fortunately, a crash from a flat spin is usually not a hard one. |
