MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban and suburban moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!Chula Vista Chapter

MOPS groups provide relationships for moms in an accepting atmosphere where they are reminded they are not alone.

MOPS also encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, the MOPS International Web site, and the MOPS to Mom Connection!

MOPS believes that mothers are doing something of incredible worth - mothering matters!  MOPS changes lives, builds families and churches, and helps children by helping moms be the best they can be!  Join MOPS in celebrating and supporting this valuable and challenging season of raising young children.

What to expect during a MOPS group meeting:

  • Discussion:  Offers moms a chance to share their successes, questions, and concerns. It is during these times that a mom realizes that shis is not alone and lifelong friendships are formed.
  • Teaching:  Presentations from MOPS Mentors or other speakers offer inspiration and information that is relevant to the life of a mother.  Topics celebrate motherhood and meet mom's unique needs during this season of life.
  • Creative Activities:  Moms may be given the opportunity to express themselves creatively during MOPS meetings.  Through crafts projects and life skills presentations, women are encouraged to experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things.
  • MOPPETS:  Children are cared for during MOPS meetings in a parallel program called MOPPETS, whre they experience love in a preschool-like setting.
