SCIENCE and MATH GAMES

Course Description:

This year’s 8th Grade Science course is designed to acquaint students with physical science through various methods. Students will learn about science through demonstrations, cooperative learning groups, labs (including activities, written reports, and graphs), and self-reflection. An emphasis will be placed upon critical thinking skills and collaboration with others to understand basic concepts of physical science.   The course meets the physical science requirements of the California State Standards for 8th Grade Science.

In Class Book:

HOLT: Physical Science (Blue) This is a traditional textbook. Each student will be checked out a textbook through the library. Books may remain at home unless students are advised to bring them to school. Homework assignments may be readings from this text. ONLINE HOLT PHYSICAL SCIENCE TEXTBOOK (Requires user name and password)
