Mr. Mack painted this oil painting from a picture of Earl Douglas at the Mid-American Open National Championships 1971. Mr. Mack gave this to Earl in early 1972.
This was DCI week 1972. Remember how HOT this rehearsal was just before DCI? Some of us had ice in our hats! We were so grateful to go back inside the air-conditioned hotel after the rehearsal.

This photo is of the 1970 snare line. This was the first Kingsmen drum line, (or Kingsmen caption of any kind), to beat every corps in the nation. These next five photos were all shot by Moe Knox. Bruce Bonney and I ordered these photos from Moe, care of Lenny DiAngeles. You know Lenny - he's the VK bass drummer that married the Blue Stars' Color Guard captain.

It was really fun doing our elbow contact pinwheels in '72. We started perfecting these turns in the fall of '71 at the Sunday marching rehearsals.
3 photos from the 1997 Disneyland Hotel reunion. 10 of us went into Disneyland after dinner and had fun in the park together. Just like in our marching days! photos by Sherri Ellerby

We had 4 snareline reunions in a row, from '85-'88, during Christmas vacations, to get everyone together again. What fun! We even played through the show again on practice pads!
