DAC RAIN SCHEDULE
(for outdoor drumlines)

1. DAC moves indoors if it is raining. Sometimes in the gym, sometimes on stage, sometimes in the bandroom.
2. Drop your volume for the indoor environment. Preserve the dynamic contrasts, but do not use the fortissimo level. Perhaps use smaller sticks. Remember that all 3 judges will be watching your ability to adapt your performance sound.
3. Check in with the main admission gate upon your arrival. You will be told the pertinent information at this time. This will include your performance time & location, your warm-up time & location and the various holding areas.
4. Play by the rules established at the show. Follow the instructions of the runners. Even if the weather changes, you still must follow the flow of lines into the warm-up room etc. This preserves fairness and consistency for all of the competitors. It also maintains the logistic flow of equipment and personnel.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE FOR ECHS RAIN DAC
1. Report to the choir room hallway 44 minutes prior to your performance time. Your parent helpers must already have paid their entrance fee and got their handstamp in order to enter the performance area. Their donation to the event is a vital part of the show breaking even.
2. Move into the choir room 33 minutes prior to your performance. Warm-up. Remember you only have 11 minutes at each site, including set-up & teardown.
3. Move to the ready area in the bandroom hallway 11 minutes prior to your performance.
4. Move into the band room at the judges runner signal. This is the start of your 10 or 11 minute time slot. Remember there are penalties for being late or overtime.
5. Exit out of the same door you entered at, except turn left and exit the building on the parking lot side.
6. There is ample seating for all interested spectators in this huge 2 story bandroom. All are welcome to stay and enjoy the performances.
7. Another point to remember is that the show hosts run the food booths. If you can support these food booths, you help preserve these locations for future DAC’s.
8. If you have a question or concern please have a runner contact the DAC staff on the walkie-talkie.

THANK YOU!
