Marcy Trianosky

 

As Director of the Writing Center, Coordinator of Writing Across the Curriculum, and a lecturer  in the English department at Hollins University, I have the privilege of working with an all-female undergraduate population at a small liberal arts institution committed to teaching and mentoring young women.  The Hollins Writing Center tutors’ creative and enthusiastic work with students has been at the center of my career for the last 15 years. In addition to my interests in writing center theory and practice, my scholarly research investigates feminist and sociolinguistic analyses of tutorial conversation, collaborative writing center administration, and writing across

passionate about my

teaching, and enjoy

my time in the

classroom.  The courses

I teach at  Hollins include

a class for new writing

center tutors, a course

in basic writing

for first-year

students, advanced

expository writing, and

a course for prospective

teachers (both graduate

and undergraduate) in

grammar theories and

the English language.
