Perry is about 6' 8", muscular, deeply tanned from an outdoor life, dark blonde sun-streaked hair, brown eyes with flecks of gold. He has huge hands which seem capable of ridiculously fine manipulation. He's usually seen wearing riding boots and a vest of many pockets. He carries a little rock-hammer and a brass compass pretty-much everywhere.
He is the son of Fiona and an avid overland explorer. He craves new sights, new discoveries and is making the most of his Pattern power and Julian's training to travel and map and discover. He's occasionally a little sea-sick so prefers to avoid the sea. He loves mountains and rocks, trees and bugs. His favourite place is a grove of redwoods or a dramatic rock face with a stunning view. He seeks out weird geographical and geological formations in Shadow.
He is a well-known
metal-worker and jeweler, having learned his craft from Julian's friend Weyland.
He is also known to be a conjuror, sorcerer and advanced
initiate of the Pattern.
He is often accompanied by a servant or mount called 'Mustapha'. When travelling he usually has a set of cutlery and cooking pans which can be packed together into a compact space, which were a birthday present from Piotr.
He created a circlet to cure his mother's amnesia but it was reduced to twisted scrap in releasing Fiona from the Jewel.
At their wedding he presented Valentine and Rinaldo with a pendant and a paper-knife respectively, each bearing some kind of enchantment.
He was seen eying with envy the techno-magic armour of the Bleys from the orange shard.
