Brown Paper Bags Update (10/18/08):
New information from our paper vendor: brown paper bags should be put in the cardboard bin, not the paper bin.

Record Visits:

Record for highest attendance was set April 4, 2009 at 204 household visits.

Fourth of July:
Mustang recycles will be closed on Saturday July 4th for Independence Day.

The recycling center is located just outside of the Public Works facility west of Wild Horse Park at 520 W SW 59th St.

We are open from 9 AM to 11 AM Saturdays except for holiday weekends.


Accepted materials include:

  • Plastics #1 and Plastics #2
  • Glass (clear, brown, & green)
  • Tin and Steel Cans
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Phone Books

No Christmas trees!
