Recycling Program Green Lit

Mustang’s City Manager David Cockrell committed to starting a drop off recycling program staffed by volunteers from the community. Mid October is the target for opening the center.

This is an exciting time. We are very close to having a recycling program; however there is still much work to be done to begin. The recycling bins must be acquired, more volunteers recruited and trained, and a publicity campaign implemented.

Mustang will be sending out the recycling survey with resident's water bills starting September 24. Please complete and return these surveys because the future of recycling will depend in part on the results.

Mustang Recycles will be a city community with Mustang paying the meager expenses including leasing and hauling of the recycling bin and printing expenses.

Now that we have the commitment from the City Manager, I believe it would be a good time for those involved to meet. If you are interested, let me know what weeknight would be best for you. I would like to reserve a conference room at the Town Center,
