Emma completed giving her first partial tour at the Heard museum |
| Tue 25th | Spent all morning on
the phone to friends and family, which was great. Spent all afternoon at Troy and Petra's with their daughters (Alex, Judy and Sydney) and their neighbours and their kids. Much enjoyed the company, the Stollen and Ivana's pastries! |

| Sun 23rd | Emma made a very successful first Real Mrs Beeton's Trifle. It was gorgeous. |

| Sat 8th | Visited the South Mountain Indian Fair organised by the Pueblo Grande museum. Met Virgil Nez again and also discovered the art of Maktima. |
| Sun 2nd | Visited the Desert Botanical Garden with Jules and then dropped him off at the Phoenician after a cup of tea on the terrace. |

Basketweavers Celebration at the Heard. Picked Jules up at the airport |

| Sat 21st | Historical Fair in Heritage Square. Discovered 'The Teeter House' teahouse/restaurant a beautifully restored Victorian brick house, with a delicious menu. Visited the Relax The Back store to get a back support cushion. |
| Sun 14th | Visited the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens. Discovered the excellent cafe, not to mention the amazing plants. Enjoyed a concert by Robert 'Tree' Cody, Native American flute and drum. |
| Sat 13th | Discovered the Kokopelli Winery in the re-emerging downtown of sleepy Chandler and a potentially interesting Mexican Grill. |
| Sun 7th | After a really comfortable overnight at Cameron Trading Post, did the Grand Canyon South Rim then back through scenic route and Flagstaff (discovered real Sausage Shop and cool International Cafe). |
| Sat 6th | Flagstaff, Cameron, Tuba City, Hopi Mesas. Tuhisma art show at the Veteran's Hall, Civic Centre Kykotsmovi. Beautiful exhibits. Revisited Tsakurshovi and struck up a fantastic conversation with the owner's husband, Joseph. Received much advice about great places to go for scenery, ruins and barbecue food in Flagstaff. |
| Thu 4th | On the first Thursday of October 1976 Emma and I both attended the Fencing Club at Reading University Students' Union. |

| Thu 27th | Morgan-Le-Fay at Ruile Buile, a nice Irish pub in Tempe. Amazing mashed potatoes, stiff and tasty and buttery. |

| Fri 7th | Flagstaff ate at Downunder, New Zealand restaurant. Fabulous lamb and kangaroo. Yes, Margaret we know Kangaroo comes from Australia, but when has a little thing like that put Kiwis off a little exploitation? Is Kiwi good to eat? |
