“Hello, my name is bubbles.”

“I am a submarine”

Side view of submarine diving.
“A submarine is a boat that can travel under the water!”

Shot 5.
Head shot of sub talking. Fish swims by.
“I can swim under water with fish and marine mammals.”
Looks at fish as fish swims by.

Shot 6.
Head on shot of “bubbles”. He is slowly descending with bubble rising around him.
“It can get really dark in the ocean.”

Shot 7.
Screen is black. You only hear voice of “bubbles”.
“So dark that I can’t see!”
<thud> “ooowwww!”

Shot 8.
Side view of sub with sonar waves bouncing off of something.
“I use a special device called Sonar to find my way in the dark ocean.

Shot 9.
Side shot of sub with sonar. Sub sees a hill and climbs up and over it.
“My sonar waves bounce off of objects in the water, then I listen to hear where things are. I can see with my ears!”

Head shot of “bubbles” as he rises back to the surface, again with bubbles rising around him.

“Some of my friends use sonar too. Would you like to meet them?”

“These are my friends. They are Atlantic bottle nosed dolphins.”

Animation of a dolphin using echo- location.
“They use a form of sonar called echo-location. They make high pitch sounds that bounce off of objects in the water, so that they know where things are. Just like me!”

“Whooo hooooooo!!”

Head shot of Sub. Dolphin swims by.
“Dolphins are some of the smartest animals in the world!”

Bubbles looks camera left and shouts.
“Hey. HEY! hey guys!! Can you tell me which way is north?”

Head shot of sub looking concerned.
“Sorry, I’ve gotta go. Thanks for stopping by! Catch you later!

Races up to surface then takes off. Side view.
