The Ross Procedure This site is dedicated to providing information about the open heart surgery procedure known as the Ross Procedure from a patient's perspective.
When I was trying to find information on the Ross Procedure prior to my surgery in March 1996, I found it difficult to obtain good reference material. Therefore, this site is my attempt to help others who might be searching for information on this surgical procedure. One of the best resources for patients and family has been a discussion group I created about 8 years ago. It's recently been moved to a new home on Yahoo Health Groups: The Ross Procedure Group. If there are questions or comments, they can be directed to: darth.mader <at> cox.net. Obligatory Legal Disclaimer: This purpose of this site is to provide information, not to recommend this surgical procedure over any other heart valve procedure. Any decision to undergo an elective procedure such as the ross procedure is that of the cardiologist, the surgeon, and of course, the patient and family.
