The Castle Craig Certificate is a Pen and Ink Drawing of the castle and its surroundings.  The Artist for the drawing was Miss Deborah Pierce.

 

Castle Craig Basic Certificate Values:

 

                                                All Instant Special Qualifiers            8 Points

                                                All Locals and Honorary Locals        4 Points

                                                All Honorary Charters (HC)

                                                      Honorary Members    (HM)

                                                      First State               (FC, FP)        3 Points

                                                All DX                                                2 Points

                                                All Other Certificates                         1 Point

 

Basic Requirements:

 

Work 8 points in any combination of the above on 10 meters.  The station applying must have a 10-10 number.

 

Special Bonus:

 

We offer a ONE TIME bonus of 10 points added to your certificate value for proof of paid up 10-10 membership.  For life members, you will receive 25

points.

 

The Price of the Basic Certificate is $ 2.00 and 2 First Class Stamps.  The price for DX is $3.00 in US Funds.  DX Stations please do not send foreign stamps.  All

applications and upgrades go to the Certificate Manager N1API.  You may also apply via email to the CM for a number only via regular mail or email.  Please

email the CM if you need the address for mail applications.  You may use the CBA of N1API or W1NRG.  Applications to the CBA of W1NRG will take longer

because the PO Box is not checked every day.  The CM is:

UPGRADES:

 

The Seal Of Meriden

 

To qualify work 100 points in any combination.  2 points will be added to your point value for this upgrade.  You may upgrade to this seal via email to the

certificate manager's email address of n1api@cox.net or an SASE for US Stations.  The DX cost for this upgrade is an SAE and $1.00.

 

The Flag Of Connecticut

 

You must hold all other upgrades.  Work 25 holders of the Seal of Meriden to qualify, or you may work an IQ for the Basic and first two seals.  3 points will be

added to your point value for this upgrade.  You may upgrade to this seal via email to the certificate manager's email address at n1api@cox.net or an SASE

for US Stations.  The DX cost for this upgrade is an SAE and $1.00.

 

Castle Craig Plus

 

The Castle Craig Plus Program started Jan. 1, 1999.  It is a points to upgrade program, and to be eligible you need have the Basic Certificate and first two seals.

Points are exchanged at the rate of 200 for 1.  We are accepting Email upgrading for this upgrade.  [Members who do not have email capabilities may send in

paper upgrades or the CM will computer your upgrade over the air on a clear frequency.]  Complete information on this program will be provided with your

The Constitution State Award

 

To qualify for this upgrade you need to hold all previous upgrades.  U.S. Stations work 10 holders of the Flag Of Connecticut.  DX stations work 5 holders of The

Flag Of Connecticut.  The Constitution State will also be awarded automatically when your Castle Craig Plus points equal 100 pts.  100 points will be added to

your basic certificate value for this upgrade.  Email your qualifying information to the CM at his email address as above.  For a number only via mail please include

and SASE or an SAE and $1.00 US for DX Stations.
