The Joy of Life
The main joy of my life is my sweet princess, Mihaela.

If I asked you to do so, would you believe in me?

To me, life is amazing… How is it that we as humans are conscious of our own existence? How is it that the elements of life combine in us to form what we are? For me, life is a joyous and fantastic ever-changing experiment. I have been blessed to be situated in this life with a wonderful family that loves me, a wonderful mind that seeks out new experiences and resists the temptation to be complacent in daily activity, and numerous friends that support me, provide outstanding criticism in a respectful way, and walk with me on my journey. Life is beautiful, and joyous. I have decided to write on the joy of life.

In my experience, the joy of this life has been brought to me through the wonderful relationships with friends and family members that I have built over the past 8 years of my life. For me, being confident and pro active in the service of others around me has played no small part in making me a generally happy person. It's not that every time you meet me you will see me smile… Actually, quite the contrary, I often do not smile. Unfortunately, sometimes people construe this to mean that I am sad. Deep inside I normally feel content with myself and my position in life, regardless of finances. Part of this stems from a healthy self-esteem, which although healthy, nonetheless requires occasional maintenance and an injection of sunshine from a close friend or family member. Remember, after all, that charity is relational, and the pleasure of love is in loving (Leo Buscaglia). We are all humans, and we all seek to be recognized by others around us. Sometimes that recognition comes in waves, and at other times, it may feel like a drought. But I am a religious man. My faith affirms the inherent dignity of the human person as imago dei, the image of God. I am aware of this dignity inside myself, and by understanding and embracing that dignity and in loving myself, I find myself better able to love others.
