Amateur Radio Station N4JK

Jack Adams (W4CVY) was an avid homebrewer. His operating position consisted of a BC-779 with wall mounted 8" Jensen speakers. He had constructed 3 single-band 4-400 amplifiers, each in its own rack. He had a garage full of surplus parts that he distributed to members of the Army MARS program. He was also very active in the Columbus, GA, radio club and was responsible for helping many people get amateur radio licenses.

Jack became a silent key in the late sixties. After his death the Columbus radio club retired the old club call sign of W4NGS and received Jack's call of W4CVY. These days the W4CVY call is always heard during Field Day and other American Radio Relay League activities.
