Parking
+ Directions
Please be advised that the Corcoran cannot accommodate additional parking requests. However, there are a couple of parking garages nearby. We recommend parking at The George Washington University, at 1957 E Street, N.W., two blocks west of the Corcoran College of Art + Design. The garage entrance is on 19th Street, next to the 7-11 convenience store. Daily rate is $17.00. Other commercial parking garages are nearby, notably around 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, two blocks north of the Corcoran.
Alternatively, participants are encouraged to use public transportation if possible. Via the city's Metro rail system, the Corcoran is just a few blocks away from two convenient stations: Farragut West - on the Orange/Blue lines (take the 17th street exit) and Farragut North - on the Red line (take the K Street exit). From either station walk south on 17th street to the Corcoran. The Corcoran is also accessible by Metro bus, numbers: 11Y, 30, 32, 35, 36, 42, G8, P17, P19, and W13.
Driving Directions
From North
Follow Connecticut Avenue South. Connecticut turns into 17th Street. The Corcoran will be on the Right at the cross streets of 17th Street and New York Avenues.
From West (via I-66)
Take Route 66 East crossing the Roosevelt Bridge. Take the E Street exit (on the left after the bridge). Follow E Street to 17th Street. The Corcoran will be on your left at the intersection of 17th and E Street.
From East (via I-95)
Take Route 95 South to Route 50 West. Follow Route 50 West which will turn into New York Avenue (West). Follow New York Avenue to 9th Street. Make a Left onto 9th Street, follow 9th Street to Constitution Avenue. Make a right on to Constitution Avenue. From Constitution Avenue, turn right on 17th Street. The Corcoran will be on the left at the intersection of 17th and E Street.
From South (via 1-395)
Take Route 395 North to the 14th Street Bridge. Follow 14th Street North. Turn Left onto Constitution Avenue (also Route 50) .
Turn Right onto 17th Street. The Corcoran will be on the left at the intersection of 17th and E Street.
