Tractors

Today's modern tractors are nothing like the old tractors with the hard metal seat that many people remember their grandpa driving.

Then, a hat was mandatory to prevent sunstroke. Climate controlled, meant an umbrella attached to keep the sun and rain off.

Today we have greater horsepower, much larger and efficient attachments. Some new tractors come with computers, air conditioning and heaters, and a radio that plays music and the weather band.

Work can be completed faster and more efficiently with less waste. Todays machines are able to harvest with very little not harvested or spilled. In past days animals were allowed in a harvested field to clean up the spillage and left fertilizer in the form of manure. so it is justified, though one day the huge about of fuel used may not be worth it.The costs to purchase and maintain these tractors are much more expensive than smaller older machinery.
