4H Projects
4H is an organization for young people which offers many opportunities to learnskills and responsibilities in a wide range of interest areas. Raising rabbits is only one of the projects, but one that has been important in our family.
The rabbit project provides an opportunity to learn about the animals, care of rabbits, and the costs involved in raising rabbits. The kids have an opportunity to show their animals in competition as well as build confidence in public speaking when they give a speech about their animal and its breed to a judge. There are also related veternary science projects that give kids a chance to explore health and veternary topics and make a display showing what they learned and/or write a report.
