October 16th: White Cane Day Information Fair,
from 8:30AM to 1:30PM at the VA Medical Center, 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, 85012.
This will be in the ACC Conference Rooms (the basement in the area of the clinics, the “new building”). Participants will include local non-profit agencies, state agencies, advocacy groups and VA services.
This event organized by the Vision Impairment Services Team.

October 24th: Fall Regional Group Meeting and Election of Officers.
Immediately following the meeting we will have our annual Fall Picnic. This is all at Steele Indian School
Park, Ramada 4. It is the ramada closest to the parking lot if you enter from 3rd St and go to the very North end of the lot. The Arizona State Veteran’s Home will be on your right as you come in, stay to the left of it.

November 11th: Veteran’s Day Parade.
This year we are uniting with the VIST, the Foundation for Blind Children, Team Kili, AZ Council of the
Blind, and AZ Industries for the Blind in our entry. We have a float this year, with the theme “Blind Veterans, Reaching New Heights”. Please join us in participating in one of the nation’s largest Veteran’s Day Parades.

November 13th: VRATE: Vision Rehabilitation and Technology Expo,
Building C, Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St., Mesa. The Expo is from 9:00AM till 4:00PM
and is FREE.

December 5th: Holiday Banquet,
Monti’s La Casa Vieja, Tempe.
There will be a voluntary gift exchange also. More info coming in a few days.
