DuBreuil's Poster

Magician shows an 8" x 10" mini poster of DuBreuil and states, "DuBreuil, the relative of Harry Houdini and   P. T. Barnum will locate your chosen card."*  A card is then selected by the spectator and made to vanish from the deck.  Magician announces that DuBreuil has located "YOUR CARD."  The poster is turned over and on the back is a card with a sticker that reads, "YOUR CARD."  After the moans die down, magician turns the "YOUR CARD" over and discloses the spectator's chosen card.

You receive the mini 8" x 10" poster, a card with "YOUR CARD" sticker on the back and the gimmicked cards to vanish the selection.  Use your own Bicycle Deck.

READ THE FACTS

1.  The mentalist displays an 11" X 17" map of the USA.

2.  The mentalist requests the help of two spectators, one of which holds the mentalist's prediction envelope from the very beginning.

3.  The mentalist holds a clear plastic bag and informs the second spectator that the bag contains the names of all 50 states, the names of 100 major cities, and 200 dates from 1776 to 1976.

4.  The mentalist asks the second spectator to reach into the bag and remove the name of a state.  The mentalist explains that if the spectator removes a city or date, it will be announced and then discarded.  The spectator will pick again until he selects a state.  (NOTE:  The spectator can actually remove a major city or date when he reaches into the bag.)

5.  The mentalist writes the name of the selected state on the display map with a dry-erase marker.

6.  The same procedure is followed for the selection of a major city and date.  (NOTE:  The spectator can actually remove one of the other options each time he reaches into the bag.)  The mentalist writes down the name of the selected major city and the selected date on the display map.

7.  The first spectator reads the mentalist's three predictions and they are all correct!

Spectator selects a card from the deck.  He then selects six additional cards and mixes his selection in with them.   Spectator places all seven cards face up on the table.  Magician passes the cameo back and forth over the seven cards with the cameo coming to rest on one of the cards.  Magician asks, "What was your card ?"   Spectator names his card and the cameo is

Eye of DuBreuil

This is a remake of the DuBreuil and Castillon trick released in the early 1970's.  Magician places a number of cards on the table.  With his back turned, the spectator is given a marker (the eye of DuBreuil) and is allowed to place it on ANY card.  (The magician does not know where the marker is placed.) Then the spectator CAN MOVE THE MARKER or NOT to another card. Through a series of instructions the marker (Eye) comes to rest on a final choice.  (NO CARDS ARE REMOVED as in other tricks.)  Magician names the COLOR of the card.  HE IS WRONG!  After the by-play he names the value of the card correctly.   FINALLY, the magician shows that he had the color correct as well.

(Comedy Mentalism with a Real Prediction)

"Thoughts on Totaling"

A spectator is invited on stage and is given an envelope and pen.  Three other spectators are given some playing cards.  Using the playing cards, the three spectators randomly call out values.  The first spectator writes the values down on the envelope and then totals them up.  Magician has a another envelope in his hand from which he produces an 8.5" x 11" card and shows a total on it.  HE IS WRONG!  He turns the card over, in fast succession, and shows a second number.  HE IS WRONG a second time!  He turns the card over again.  HE IS WRONG a third time!  Then a fourth time!  Finally, the magician points out that the first spectator is holding an envelope which he was writing on.  He has had it from the start of the performance . It contains the prediction.  This envelope is opened.  The prediction reads:

"Magician will be WRONG 4 times."

After the moans, the magician turns the card over and his prediction contains the CORRECT TOTAL!       A lot of entertainment, comedy, and magic.
