My Rims
I’ve had the rims longer than my buggy, I got them off a friend who totaled his car before he had a chance to put them on. They also have been outside covered and uncovered, the center paint was peeling and the aluminum was pitted. They originally had a flat black center and polished outer rings. I only changed the center color during the restoration. Not really sure what style they are but they are Cragar’s. They have a steel rim with an aluminum center.
It took me about 3 days, and a lot of elbow grease to clean them up. Pictures 1 & 2.
(About 8 hrs a rim)
The paint is “MIRAGE RED/BLUE” by Dupli-Color. It changes color when you look at it from a different angle or lighting changes, as you can see in pictures 3 & 4.

Center Cap

The center caps are
chrome and inside the circle around the word CRAGAR was painted baby blue. It
also was peeling so I removed all the paint and will repaint it the same color
as the rim.
