RULES AND POLICIES

 

   

 NEBRASKA MEET GUIDELINES

 

1.                   If a meet is a USAG sanctioned qualifying meet hosted by a Nebraska Club, all Nebraska Teams must be invited; i.e. all Nebraska gymnasts have the right to compete in any in-state qualifying invitational, however, all clubs must abide by the registration deadlines and will be taken on a first come basis.

 

2.                   Level 4 and 5 gymnasts must receive achievement ribbons at each meet.     

               9’s-Blue, 8’s Red, 7’s White, 6’s Yellow.

 

3.                   Level 4 will only receive AA placement awards at the State Meet.  All other meets may use their own format for awards for Level 4, with the information put in the meet invitation, and fees for this Level should be set accordingly.

 

4.                   A competition fee of $10.00 per gymnast (Levels 4-10) per year will be accessed to each club.  A team roster should accompany this payment, which should be paid to USAG Nebraska, by December 1st each year.  If not paid by December 1st, the fee increases to $20 per gymnast. (New gymnasts entering USAG competition from out of state after December 1st will be accessed the $10 fee.)

 

5.                   The NAWGJ shall be the recommended assigning body for Nebraska meets.

 

6.                   When NAWGJ is used a request for judges shall be sent to the state Judging Director (Jeanelle Buseman) along with $3.00 per judge requested within 30 days of the competition or if late send $5.00 per judge requested.

 

7.                   Host Clubs are required to forward meet results from their invitational to the State Mobility Coordinator within 24 hours.

 

8.                   The State Committee shall solicit and approve bids for the State Meet.

 

9.                   Judges for the State Meet will be determined by the State Committee. This determination will come from a current approved list of Judges with the appropriate rating.  The list will be obtained from the State Judging Director.

 

10.             Each gymnast qualifying for the State Meet will receive an originally designed State pin.  The pins will be paid for by the State Committee.

 

11.             State qualifying scores are:

Level 2 – none

Level 3 – none

Level 4 – 30.00

Level 5 – 30.00

Level 6 – 30.00

Level 7 – 31.00

Level 8 – 32.00

Level 9 – 32.00

Level 10 –32.00

 

12.             State entry fees will be determined by the State Committee.

13.             The State Committee will set the maximum gate fee for the State Meet.

14.             When hosting a State Meet the host club shall break down age groups to no more than 20 per age division.  Awards shall be 50% plus 1 for each age division at the State Meet.

 

15.             Compulsory qualifications to the State Meet will be permitted at any Nebraska sanctioned meet.  Optional gymnasts may qualify at any USAG sanctioned meet.  Those qualifying outside of the state must present official results from that meet.

 

16.             Host clubs of the State Meets are required to forward official results to the State Chairman, and other proper personnel.

 

17.             The Meet Referee may act in the Capacity of a judge at the State Meet.

 

18.             Judges selected from Nebraska for the Regional Championships are selected by the State Committee.  Criteria used:  Brevet Judges from the State are automatically invited to judge the meet.  Judges must be USAG Members in good standing, be National Ranked, and be active in the State and Region.  If there are more qualified Judges than needed, a rotation schedule will be set up by the State Committee.

 

MOBILITY

 

1.                Mobility scores may be achieved at any sanctioned USAG competition in or out of the State.

 

2.                Mobility forms are to submitted to the State Chairman or Mobility Coordinator for all gymnasts moving from one level to the next along with an official score sheet.   If a gymnast wishes to drop back a level, in Nebraska she must do this two weeks prior to the State Meet.

 

3.                A Mobility Form must be filled out and given to the State Chairman or Mobility Coordinator, before the gymnast competes at the next level.

 

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS

 

1.                Each year, the Nebraska State Committee holds a State Meeting, for its USAG membership in an effort to keep them abreast of the changes and issues which involve our sport.

 

2.                The State Chairman and the members of the State Committee will have their USAG Professional Memberships paid for by State funds.

 

3.                The state will pay for the transportation and other expenses so that the State Chairman may attend Regional Board meetings and the USAG Congress.

 

4.                State funds may be appropriated for exceptional circumstances by a State Committee vote. i.e. flowers for funerals, etc.

 

 

 

ELECTION PROCEDURES

 

1.                Candidates for the State Committee and State Chairman must be USAG professional members and accept a nomination from a professional USAG member.

 

2.                Persons must submit a written resume’ to the State Chairman who will in turn send ballots to all current professional Nebraska USAG members.

 

3.                The State Committee is required to meet at least once a year and as many other times as is determined necessary by the State Chairman.

 

4.                Elected persons shall serve a two year term.

 

 

 

LEVEL 4 RULES AND GUIDELINES

 

Placement ribbons may be given, but not in replacement of Achievement ribbons.

 

All around- You are required to give an award &/or gift 100%.  Gifts shall be given in random order, not by placement.

 

Age groups should not exceed more than 8 participates.

 

Team awards may be given.

 

Host clubs should consider the Level 4 entry fees accordingly.  All award information shall be published in your meet invitation.
