bulletThe Bells come from Cape Town, South Africa.  The family has British and Afrikaner ancestry, reflecting the country's intricate and remarkable history.
bulletThe Fairview Cemetery was a favorite historical marker, and is now the resting place of Kate's grandfather, Alvin Tiedje.  He grew up in Scott County, IA where you can still visit the old one-room school, train depot and church.
