Aries

When any planet is in Aries, or Aries is on the cusp of any House, the matters covered by the planet or House will be affected by Aries characteristics.

The first sign of the zodiac, Aries rules births and beginnings. A strong Arien influence in the natal chart is likely to produce a pioneer of sorts -- definitely an individual with an interest in being first! Those with a strong Aries influence often have the capacity to be self-absorbed and charming at the same time, a faculty most common with infants and children.

The Child of the Zodiac, ruling the spring, Aries has the best and worst traits common to kids and other young critters: enthusiasm, energy, daring, the desire for discovery, a sense of wonder at the newness of it all ... along with intense focus on self-interest, need for attention, aggressiveness, impulsiveness, a touch of stubbornness and an occasional (possibly frequent!) tendency to drop projects, things, sometimes even people, as soon as the interest wanes. Mars also rules passion, of course, and Aries-influenced individuals are likely to be driven by lust: not only the sexual type, but a passionate lust for life and all that entails. Not to say sex will be unimportant; strong Aries influence in the birth chart goes hand in ... err, glove ... with a strong interest in sexuality, sometimes an almost-religious dedication to the arts and sciences of physical love. They'll be pioneers here too, willing to experiment, enthusiastic and generous, and determined to give you the ride of your life.
