(Letter to Dan Winters Sailmakers Ltd. Hampton, Virginia upon receipt of my storm jib.)
Hi Dan,
I want to express my most hearty thanks for the Newport 20 storm jib, which I received on June 8, 2004. It exceeded my expectations and I want you to know how happy I am that you all could accommodate my needs at such short notice.
I’ve never had a new sail before, I’d always been a bit taken back by the price, however, the storm jib was worth every penny, and I look forward to doing business with you in the future for additional sails and modifications. My thanks to your son, Brett, who I believe told me was going to make the sail itself. I cannot bear not repeating this, so I will; I am absolutely impressed and happy with the workmanship and look of the sail.
Sincerely Yours,
Robin Scott Johnson Tempe, Arizona
P.S. On this big voyage to Hawaii on June 23rd I hope to be able to use the Winters Storm Jib, and I will take a picture of it in action and send you a copy. This will probably come sometime in September.
