VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

"Two Times" Program implemented by SAY

SAY Volunteer Form (.pdf)

Niceville PAL Soccer is a volunteer organization, every family is asked to contribute some time to the Association. The following positions are needed for the Fall, 2003 soccer season.

Coach – This volunteer supervises the learning experience for his/her players. They organize and attend all practices and scheduled games.  They determine the skills each player needs to develop, based on age and ability, and implement them into practice sessions.

Assistant Coach – This volunteer assists the coach in scheduling practice sessions and determining skills needed based on age appropriate activities. They also fill in and perform the duties of the coach if needed.

Team Mom/Dad – This volunteer will assist the coach in distributing information to players on his/her team, setting up snack schedules, notifying parents of cancelled practices and or games, and planning any end of season party the team might have.

Board Members - Board members are volunteers like everyone else in PAL Soccer.  Board members typically spend numerous hours preparing for and running the PAL Soccer season. If you have the time and dedication, please contact us to see if there is an open position or you can be nominated for next year's Board of Directors.  Take a look at specific duties of Board Members here.

Other Positions - There are literally thousands of other volunteers that make PAL Soccer season a success each year who are never recognized. Concession stand workers are critical to meeting the yearly budget.  Any General Member may attend board meetings and join various committees. If you do not wish to become a board member, but are willing to help in any capacity, please contact us!

Parental Responsibility - Practically speaking, Niceville PAL Soccer is an adult, volunteer work project constructed, supervised and assisted by parents who want to extend this benefit to their children. The parent who shirks this responsibility cannot, in turn, expect others to assume the burden.  It is up to all of us to make this league the best possible experience for our children.  It is not a baby-sitting service.  Get involved - your child will remember it forever!
