Kateri's response - a feather

presented by      Norm Léveillée

The following was sent to me by Bill Frates. I would like to share it with you. Thank you, Bill.

Here is just one of the numerous Blessed Kateri stories.
Last week I went to visit my friend who is a priest at Glastonbury Abbey and get the Holy Eucharist for my son who is autistic. I brought him some Holy Cards of Kateri and some Thomas Merton cards whom he loves. I put the bag with the cards on the table and he took the pix and went immediately to the small Church to get the Eucharist. He came back in with the pix in one hand and a tissue in the other hand. He said,
I can not believe it. We must have a bird in the Church. Look what I found on the tabernacle.
I looked everywhere but no sign of a bird.

He opened the tissue and there was a small feather. I asked him if he knew about this phenomenon related to Kateri.

He had no idea and just stared at me. I pointed to the bag and showed him the prayer cards.

Kateri constantly affirms my faith, encourages me in ways that words would only diminish. I have had many experiences related to my son and her intervention. I will continue to share but as I am sure you are well aware, when she wants to let you know that she is with you, there is absolutely no question. She is always there to let me know she is with me.
I joke with my firends that my

girlfriend is a beautiful Native American woman!
Here is another story related to her. This past summer my son was having a hard time. It had been a very long day together and he was really struggling. He was on my bed about three feet behind me and I was typing on the computer. It was one of those days when Christian was having a lot of "meltdowns" which are very intense with some children afflicted with autism. I was physically and emotionally spent. At some point I just put down my head on the keyboard and said interiorly "Help me Kateri". The interior response was quick and empathic; Go to him. I turned around to get into the bed with him and he quickly turned away. He was hiding something in his hand. I told him it was okay and I just wanted to see it. I finally got him to show it to me and it was a small down feather which he must have pulled out of one my pillows.

I do not look for signs but she always guides me. Sometimes in my faith life God is present then seems to be completely absent. With Kateri, she is the friend in heaven who for some reason always lets this struggling person aware that there is someone in heaven who truly cares in a very personal way. I am blessed beyond words as are so many others whose lives have been touched by this beautiful woman.
