North School Enterprises is a business incubator in Enfield, CT.   The major difference between a business incubator and a typical office building is that the tenants will have the opportunity to share services and equipment.  This will allow small businesses to grow without major investments.  For a list of some of the shared equipment and services North School Enterprises, LLC will offer, click here. 

Housing Enterprises, Inc., a housing development consulting firm, will be the first tenant in the building starting in October 2004.  Housing Enterprises will lease about an eighth of the total available space and renovate its space to meet its needs.  North School Enterprises has started to market the rest of the available space.  Check back periodically for information on new tenants.

The North School was built in the 1880s in Enfield's historic Thompsonville.  North School Enterprises, LLC acquired the School in July 2004 and is in the process of improving the exterior to restore its historic character and appeal.  To date, North School Enterprises has removed an old handicap ramp that no longer meets code, removed debris, and painted some of the lower level trim.  Paving of the exterior and repair of brick work will take place in the fall.  Improvements to the interior to bring the building up to code, install security systems and add high speed internet access are also underway.   Check back periodically for updates on renovation progress.
