Christopher Stark received the S.B. degree in Mathematics from MIT and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. He has been on the faculties of Brandeis University and the University of Florida and has held visiting positions at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Maryland. He joined DMS in September 1997 and has been a member of the permanent NSF staff since September 1999.

His mathematical interests include the topology and geometry of manifolds, geometric and homological aspects of group theory, and dynamics.
