




Step by Step Procedure (after designs have been approved):
- Students will cover tables with at least two layers of newspaper & protect clothing
- Students will tear newspaper into small pieces
- Students will mix up batches of Ross Art Paste or Wheat Paste
- Students will put a very thin coating of vaseline on the plastic mask base
- If mask bases are not available, students may ''share'' a balloon and split it
- Students will vary the layers so they can easily see where one ended and the next begins
- A final layer of brown paper toweling is a nice layer on which to paint the base coat
- Students will paint a white base coat until no newspaper images are showing
- Students will then decorate the mask according to the approved design
