One Point Perspective Designs & Lettering

Materials:

• Good Quality Smooth White Paper (or do work in sketchbooks)
• Pencils/Rulers
• Markers & Colored Pencils
• Black Sharpies

Goals:

• Students will learn about one point perspective and the use of vanishing points
• Students will review thicknesses to create a sense of depth in an artwork
• Students will create a dramatic logo of their name to emulate the 20th Century Fox logo
• Students will use a gradient color blends for the face of the letters
• Students will use proper indication shading to create depth on the sides of the lettering

Class 1: One Point Perspective Lecture (Video on 3D lettering and/or demo on overhead projector)
• Students should follow & sketch lesson, comment and ask questions. Most should get a good basic sketch from which to do the finished piece
