(ok, it's 2008, I've written three books so far and none of them got published except print on demand!!)

This illustrated children's book has been in the works since the summer of 1980. It was designed as a Golden Book, but Western Publishing declined. In 1990, it became an animated Hyperstudio stack for the Apple IIGS. Please read it with your child and enjoy! This is copyrighted material. Unless you are a wealthy publisher who is willing to print this book in paper form, please do not use these images without permission
This story is based on an idea by Tom (the real Chef Tom) and Ida Spack (my brother and sister-in-law)

This book is dedicated to Marlo and Ryan with all my love...

This is the story of Clyde and Marvin. They are best friends.
(You can tell which is which because Clyde is short with a round head and Marvin is tall with a flatter head)
Whoops! Clyde forgot it was his turn to cook supper.
Clyde and Marvin watch the commercial on TV.
The announcer tells all about a new restaurant.
Clyde makes Marvin get all dressed up.
The restaurant looks like a circus tent.
The head waiter welcomes them to the restaurant.
They see the announcer from the commercial.
Clyde wants to watch the clowns. Marvin wants to eat.
Marvin starts searching for food.
He finds some acrobats. He finds some flying trapeze artists.
He finds the comedy stage. He searches the dance floor.
Marvin searched everywhere, but couldn't find any food! Finally, Marvin finds Chef Tom Turtle.
Chef Tom fixes Marvin something special. Clyde finds Marvin coming out of the kitchen.
Marvin falls asleep after his big supper. Chef Tom saves the day!
I hope you have enjoyed this story.
