Polygon
POLYGON DRAWING PROJECT

1) Create a new Drawing Document in Appleworks (or use the drawing tools in a Word document)
2) Save it to your disk naming it: Polygons with your initials (PolygonsNS)
3) Choose the Polygon Tool (the triangle)
4) Under options choose Object Size
5) ''Draw'' a triangle and make sure the size is 1'' by 1''
6) Choose the Text Tool (A)
7) Create a text box and type in Triangle
8) Choose the Polygon Tool (the triangle)
9) Under the Edit Menu choose Polygon Sides (type in 4)
10) ''Draw'' a Quadrilateral 1'' by 1''
11) Choose the Text Tool (A)
12) Create a text box and type in Quadrilateral and align it with the polygon under the Arrange Menu choosing Align Objects
13) Select the polygon and the text box, and under the Arrange Menu choose Group, then do a Save
14) Repeat steps 9 through 13, increasing the sides by one each time and labeling correctly

15) Create a Title by combining a background shape and a text box in which you type POLYGONS, align, then group them
16) Arrange the Polygons and Title anyway you choose
17) Fill the Polygons in an attractive color scheme
18) Draw lines from the title to each polygon
19) Increase the point size of the shape outlines and lines by selecting the line width (2 or 3 pts. is good)

Bonus Points: Skip the step where you group the text box with the polygon
Reshape the polygons by selecting one with the selection tool (arrow)
21) Choose reshape under the Arrange Menu and push and pull points indicated on the polygon until you are happy
22) Now group the new shape with the text box and continue to save as you go.
